UAT Tester

On behalf of our client, a leading financial technology company, we are looking for a detail-oriented UAT Tester to ensure the seamless performance of digital banking applications. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in banking and financial services testing, who are passionate about delivering secure and user-friendly digital experiences.

Your day-to-day

• Collaborate with business analysts, product managers, and developers to understand banking requirements and translate them into test scenarios.
• Develop and execute UAT test plans, test cases, and scripts for digital banking applications.
• Identify, log, and track defects, ensuring efficient resolution with development teams.
• Conduct regression testing after bug fixes and system updates.
• Perform end-to-end testing of customer journeys, including account opening, transactions, payments, and authentication processes.
• Validate system compliance with banking regulations and security policies.
• Work with stakeholders to obtain UAT sign-off and ensure readiness for production deployment.
• Provide detailed test reports, highlighting defect trends and areas for improvement.
• Ensure digital banking platforms deliver a secure, efficient, and seamless user experience.

What you will need

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in UAT testing, preferably within banking or financial services.
• Familiarity with core banking systems, online banking, mobile banking, and payment platforms.
• Strong understanding of UAT methodologies and best practices.
• Experience testing web applications, mobile banking apps, and API integrations.
• Proficiency in test management tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM, TestRail).
• Basic SQL knowledge for data validation and querying.
• Awareness of banking compliance standards (e.g., PSD2, GDPR, KYC, AML).
• Understanding of cybersecurity best practices in digital banking.
• Experience with digital payments (e.g., SWIFT, SEPA, real-time payments).
• Knowledge of automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman) is a plus.
• Understanding of accessibility testing (WCAG compliance) is beneficial.
• Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in an Agile environment and work with cross-functional teams.
