Role Overview:

As a Senior Digital Analytics & Tracking Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in the implementation and optimization of digital tracking solutions across websites and mobile applications. Your expertise will ensure accurate and reliable data collection, empowering teams to make informed, data-driven decisions. You will work closely with developers, marketers, and key stakeholders to resolve tracking issues, analyze user behavior, and generate actionable insights. Additionally, you will be instrumental in improving tracking processes, mentoring junior team members, and driving innovation in digital analytics and measurement.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the setup, configuration, and management of Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager (GTM) for client websites and mobile applications.
  • Define and implement tracking requirements, goals, events, custom dimensions, and enhanced eCommerce tracking for better data insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, marketers, etc.) to optimize tracking systems and implement data layers, JavaScript code, and custom tracking solutions.
  • Oversee and troubleshoot tracking for marketing platforms (Google Ads Conversion Tracking, Meta Pixel, and Conversions API), ensuring data accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
  • Conduct audits of existing tracking setups to maintain data reliability and optimize user behavior analysis across digital platforms.
  • Develop and present actionable insights via detailed reports and dashboards using tools such as BigQuery, Looker Studio, and other Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
  • Act as the primary technical contact for tracking and measurement projects, guiding both internal teams and external collaborators.
  • Stay current with the latest trends in digital analytics, including tools like AppsFlyer, Zapier, and HubSpot, to drive continuous improvement and scalability of tracking solutions.

Senior Responsibilities:

  • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a collaborative, high-performance work environment.
  • Ensure all aspects of tracking and data analysis meet the highest standards and align with broader business objectives.
  • Lead the implementation of ongoing improvements in tracking processes, ensuring scalability, accuracy, and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
  • 5+ years of experience in web analytics and tracking implementation, ideally in a senior or lead role.
  • Expert knowledge of the Google Tech Stack (Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics) and strong familiarity with web analytics platforms.
  • Advanced proficiency in business intelligence tools such as Looker, PowerBI, and data warehouse technologies like BigQuery.
  • Strong skills in SQL for querying and analyzing large datasets.
  • Expertise in JavaScript, HTML, and tag management systems.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and resolving complex tracking issues.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong collaboration skills with internal teams and clients, fostering effective partnerships.
