Senior Data & Systems Administrator

On behalf of our client, a leading company within the Music rights industry, we are looking for an experienced Database and Systems Administrator.

You will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and executing commands on the database of the Organization's IT system to support its operational processes. The system is centered around the EQUINOX application, built in a Delphi environment and operating on a Firebird 3 database hosted on a Linux server.

Your day-to-day

• Adapt existing scripts, create new ones, and execute Procedural SQL scripts combining stored procedures within the database to facilitate the Organization’s operations
• Data management: Bulk data insertion using pre-existing scripts or SQL code and data quality control
• Data mining: Extract insights from the database in response to specific user requests within the organization
• Database administration tasks using tools such as IBExpert
• Maintenance tasks for the database system

What you will need

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar field
• At least 5 years of experience in managing and developing large-scale relational databases (RDBMS)
• Experience with Firebird 3 or similar databases (e.g., InterBase) and database management tools (e.g., IBExpert) will be appreciated
• Proficiency in writing Procedural SQL scripts to interact with large databases
• Knowledge of data mining techniques to extract insights from data
• Basic Linux administration knowledge is nice to have
• Experience in Delphi environments is highly desirable
• Experience with Crystal Reports is a plus
• Familiarity with intellectual property management systems is a plus
• Proficiency in English
