On behalf of our client, we are looking for a mid-level PHP/Laravel developer to join its development team. The ideal candidate will work on building and maintaining web applications, writing efficient, reusable, and testable code, and collaborating with the team to design and improve applications that meet user needs.

A day in the life of a PHP/Laravel Developer

Develop, enhance, and maintain web applications using PHP and the Laravel framework
Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code
Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve issues across development, test, and production environments
Participate in code reviews and offer constructive feedback to improve code quality
Optimize application performance and maintain database integrity
Contribute to project planning and estimation discussions with the development team

Skills and Qualifications

3+ years of experience with PHP and the Laravel framework
Strong knowledge of OOP principles and the MVC architecture
Proficient in MySQL or other relational databases
Experience with RESTful APIs and integration with third-party services
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
Knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (Vue.js or React experience is a plus)
Understanding of agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
