Mobile App Tech Lead

On behalf of our client, an innovative start-up company that developed the first online booking engine for the Greek Islands, we are currently looking for a self-driven Mobile App Tech Lead, to join its software development team.

A day in the life of a Mobile App Tech Lead

You will be an expert in ensuring the quality of cutting-edge products and an awesome user experience. You will have the chance to work with cross-functional teams of product owners, developers, and designers and you will ensure the quality of Web and Mobile applications, allowing the efficient delivery of high-quality products and reducing the need for re-work.

Your day-to-day

• Plan and prioritize tasks in sprint planning meetings
• Organize retrospectives and report feedback to management
• Facilitate weekly discussions on new features, tech improvements, and code refactoring
• Maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions
• Act as the primary contact for technical questions from other teams
• Work closely with the product team to define new feature specifications
• Coordinate feature breakdown meetings with key stakeholders
• Offer hands-on support through pair programming for complex issues
• Contribute to the codebase, handling complex development tasks
• Optimize development processes and ensure best coding practices

Requirements 

• Strong expertise in React & TypeScript
• Experience with Expo, EAS, React Query, Zustand, Zod, React Hook Form, Testing Library, MSW (plus)
• Proficiency in designing scalable architectures & implementing CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions
• Solid understanding of mobile development best practices
• Ability to lead decision-making processes and align the team with strategic goals
• Experience managing a development team and collaborating cross-functionally
• Strong mentorship skills, fostering both technical and soft skills growth
• Excellent communication for product collaboration, code reviews, and feedback
• Experience in performance evaluations and supporting continuous improvement
