IT Billing Engineer

On behalf of our client, a leading name in the Energy & Electricity sector, we are currently looking for a self-driven IT Billing Engineer to join its growing team.

Your day-to-day

• Write well-designed, testable and performant code
• Manage billing matters and make checks and/or corrections when necessary
• Be responsible for UATs and QATs for billing system changes
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications to third party services (developers) for process improvements
• Integrate software components into a fully functional software system
• Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures
• Document and maintain software functionality
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems
• Identify opportunities to improve and enhance the billing system

What you will need

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related fields
• Basic software development knowledge is essential
• Ability to develop software in JavaScript (or similar) is essential
• Excellent knowledge of relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL). Non-relational DBs are considered a plus
• Proficiency in software engineering tools
• Ability to document requirements and specifications
• Analytical mind with problem-solving attitude
• Ability to work independently and take initiatives
• Deep understanding of software design patterns
