On behalf of our client, a US leading manufacturer of highly engineered critical components and customized technology solutions for the energy, transportation, and industrial markets, we are looking for a highly aspirated Devops Engineer to join their top-notch engineering team based in Athens.

 

Role Summary

This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the company’s infrastructure (Azure and on-prem) and DevOps processes, including automation, deployment pipelines, and monitoring solutions. As a critical part of the team, you will help the company build a reliable and efficient cloud environment that supports our applications and services.

 

Your day to day

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and other automation tools for streamlined deployments.
  • Deploy and manage Azure infrastructure such as AKS, App Services, and Virtual Networks, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and ARM templates.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure observability, rapid incident response, and system health.
  • Develop high availability and disaster recovery strategies, including automated backups and failover mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Data Analytics & AI, Web Dev) to integrate DevOps practices and improve delivery efficiency.
  • Ensure cloud security and cost optimization through IAM policies, auditing, performance reviews, and scaling recommendations.

Must have

  • 3–6 years of experience in DevOps or cloud infrastructure engineering, with a preference for Azure environments.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Proficient in CI/CD pipelines, repository and artifact management, and infrastructure automation.
  • Skilled in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and scripting with PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure monitoring and logging tools, including Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
  • Experience supporting SharePoint architecture, both on-premises and online.
  • Familiar with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, with strong cloud security and IAM knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive, automation-first mindset and a focus on continuous improvement.

Nice to have

  • Experience with GitHub Actions for CI/CD in addition to Azure DevOps
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric or other Azure-native tools for modern DevOps and data workflows
  • Familiarity with config management tools like Ansible or Chef
  • Exposure to DevSecOps practices for integrating security into the CI/CD pipeline
  • Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or similar.
