On behalf of our client, in energy sector, we are currently looking for a self-driven Applications Operations Lead to join its growing team.
Your day-to-day
- Manage the complete lifecycle of applications, including post-GoLive activities and ongoing maintenance
- Regularly review user feedback and support tickets to ensure applications meet performance standards. Identify and address issues affecting performance, availability, and reliability, while proposing improvement actions
- Coordinate the team handling 2nd and 3rd level support for application outages or performance issues. Work with internal and external teams to implement solutions and minimize downtime
- Evaluate current and future application capacity requirements to meet workload demands. Collaborate with infrastructure teams to scale resources as needed
- Partner with the security team to ensure applications comply with Group IT security policies and regulatory standards. Implement security recommendations and support IT audits
- Lead the team responsible for documenting application support processes, including configurations, troubleshooting guides, and standard operating procedures
- Work closely with development, infrastructure, and support teams to ensure seamless application operations. Act as a key stakeholder in production deployments and post-GoLive support
- Identify process improvement and automation opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness
- Oversee relationships with third-party vendors or service providers critical to application operations
What you will need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or any other related discipline
- Master’s degree in a related discipline will be considered an asset
- 5+ years of relevant work experience
- Deep understanding of Applications Architecture both OnPrem as well as on Cloud
- Experience in solution design and development, vendor management, enterprise application support
- Strong leadership skills to guide and motivate a team of operations professionals.
- Experience with monitoring tools to track system performance and identify potential issues before they become critical
- Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including management and end-users
- Proactive approach to identifying areas for process improvement and implementing changes to enhance efficiency.
- Adaptable to changes, new technologies, and evolving best practices
- Ability to meet timelines cognizant of business needs and constraints
- Strong analytical skills; ability to perform complex system analysis and draw conclusions by relating information from different sources, including root-cause analysis and issue resolution.
- Exposure with any of the following technologies: SAP, Microsoft PowerPlatform, SAP SuccessFactors, Salesforce will be considered an asset
